Product Description
Deighton's Silver Smocking Transfer dots show up on light and dark fabrics, they may be difficult to see on heavily patterned fabric

How to use Transfer Dots:
Place the transfer over the wrong side of the material, being careful to put it on accurately and leaving space for a seam.
Iron off the dots, using a moderately hot iron and peeling off the tissue paper immediately behind the iron as it passes along,
if the dots do not iron off then run your iron over the sheet again.

Smocking Dot Transfers
It's the first time I've used these transfers and I was very pleased with the result. These (iron-on) dots showed up beautifully on the fabric I was due to smock. I was thinking I was going to have to invest in a pleating contraption - I'm glad I tried these first...not least because the pleating machine looks like a medieval device for torturing people (most probably ME)! ;-)

Smocking dot transfers
After I tried the silver dots I reviewed to say they didn’t work for me, a few days later I received a replacement, lighter dots to show on my fabric. I didn’t ask for this but was delighted by the customer service, how thoughtful to do this so I’m giving full marks for a brilliant business and customer service, thank you Louise - You are welcome, getting the right dot for fabric can be tricky. Thanks Christine

Smocking dots
Hi, I left the iron the cotton/hemp fabric for as long as I dare, about 1.5 min on the hottest iron and the dots didn’t transfer, the fabric I dark so I thought silver would show...? Hi Louise, the yellow ones are designed to show up on dark fabrics, although no colours show up particularly well on Liberty fabrics . Really as per the instructions included you should sweep the iron over the fabric slowly, if you hold it too long they will just melt off. Please see the video attached to the product. Thanks Christine

Smocking dots
Nice product but pity there’s only one sheet ! Thanks Mary, I did try selling them in packs of two, but people stopped buying them? One sheet should be enough for two dress fronts. Christine

Easiest way to smock
I used to draw smocking dots, which took ages. It is so much easier to use these. Brilliant.

Couldnt' do without them!
Essential item for hand smocking. They transfer easily and each pack will do about two dresses age 2. I had some older Blue Grace Knott dots which did not transfer at all. Not sure if they have an expiry date. Also not sure what the difference is between them and the silver ones! Anyhow very pleased with the silver dots and prompt delivery as well. Can't get them anywhere else in the UK, so thank you for stocking them. Thank you for you comments - Christine
