Looks good, feels good.
I find this fabric fairly easy to use, principally for smocking. It does tend to fray a little, so preparation is important when cutting and especially when pleating for smocking. The finished garments always look very pretty, as any creases are easily disposed of, a bonus with some of the fuller sleeves on garments. Pleasant to handle while working, easy to wash, comfortable to wear. I personally have a preference for pure cotton, but that is just a personal thing, as this batiste is excellent for all the projects I ( and some pupils) have undertaken.

Poly cotton batiste
Imperial batiste is a poly cotton fabric which has a nice 'handle' and is easy to work, for smocking at any rate. It washes well and, if hung carefully to dry, needs minimal ironing. There is a little too much 'poly' for my personal taste, I prefer 100% cotton or a very small admix of 'poly', but, each to their own. A very nice fabric to begin smocking garments with, and a nice range of colours. I have used it both for personal garments and for teaching purposes. Overall, a good feeling and good looking fabric. great service from Chris, as always.
