      I am afraid that I have not opened the fabric yet, sewing room is under going a change, plus ill health of a family member has taken up my time. I intend to make a dress for our great granddaughter with the fabric.

      Nice quality fabric. Pleated very easily I have yet to start the smocking.and will report back. However I am now about to order some more in blue and navy. I wish there were a few other colours- lemon would be lovely.As always the parcel, beautifully packed arrived next day. Yes I would definitely recommend the House of smocking. The fabric is all good quality and a far better selection of fabric for smocking and heirloom work than you would get anywhere else in the UK, to the best of my knowledge. And unless you wish to go through the rigarole of ordering smocking patterns from the USA and getting them shipped Internationally ( don't do it honestly) a far better selection of patterns and sundries than anywhere else too.

      I recently ordered pale blue cut spot cotton and was delighted at the prompt and efficient service. My parcel came the next day. The fabric is lovely, a good colour match for the online image and also very good value for money. I highly recommend House of Smocking :)
