      Smocking dot ruler

Posted by Jane Lyon on 25th Apr 2025

Bought this some time ago, knowing it would be just the job at some point! And today was the day. Am making a CC Maggie for my granddaughter and the smocking is not full width of the dress, and I was reluctant to put the whole width of the front and back through the pleater and then unpick the unwanted areas. Also I’m using double gauze for the dress and it wriggles and squirms its way through the pleater and I’m not sure I could keep it straight enough without 2 straight edges to help! A brilliant bit of kit Chris, and not nearly as time consuming as I thought it would be. That's great Jane, really glad it came in handy at the right time. Christine
